Bridget supports funding essential priorities like public safety, infrastructure, and critical services while making sure Fulton County lives within its means.
Her approach is simple: fund what we need, eliminate what we don’t, demand results, and protect taxpayers from unnecessary tax increases.

Public safety is a core responsibility of government.
Commissioner Bridget Thorne is committed to making sure our law enforcement officers, first responders, courts, and justice system have the resources they need to keep Fulton County safe.
As Commissioner, Bridget has supported significant investments in public safety while also demanding accountability for how taxpayer dollars are spent.
She believes we can—and must—do both: support law enforcement and first responders, address the serious challenges facing our jail and justice system, and insist that public safety dollars produce real results.

PROTECT OUR HEALTH AND WELFARE
Commissioner Bridget Thorne believes every Fulton County resident deserves access to quality healthcare and essential services close to home.
She has supported major investments that are expanding healthcare and behavioral health services across Fulton County, including:

Grady’s new freestanding Emergency Department, expanding access to emergency care.

A new Grady hospital, bringing critical healthcare services to South Fulton.

Fulton County’s Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Atlanta, providing an alternative to the emergency room or jail for people experiencing a behavioral health crisis.

A second Behavioral Health Crisis Center planned for Alpharetta, bringing these critical services closer to North Fulton families.

The new Alpharetta Health & Human Services Center, expanding access to county health and human services in North Fulton.
From emergency care and behavioral health to human services, Bridget is working to make sure Fulton County invests in services that protect the health, safety, and well-being of our entire community.
PROTECT THE RESIDENTIAL INTEGRITY OF OUR NEIGHBORHOODS
Commissioner Bridget Thorne believes elected officials too often ignore the wishes of local homeowners. Bridget is working to protect our neighborhoods from overdevelopment. The Fulton Development Authority should work closely with city governments and only approve projects that are desired by those cities.
OPEN AND RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT
Commissioner Thorne's experience with Fulton County Government has been they lack transparency and fail to address concerns of the citizens. This failure leads to a general distrust of Government. Commissioner Thorne will keep constituents engaged and informed in the decision-making process. Fulton County needs to empower the people by advancing policies that create a more open, accountable, and responsive government. Trust needs to be restored.
Too many voters in both parties are losing trust in our elections. Commissioner Thorne wants to ensure proper audits of ballots and prevent abuses of the electoral process. She wants Fulton County to be known for elections that are efficient, accessible, transparent, accurate and fair.
